Restructured the academic day to ensure students received daily designated English Language Development and increased the number of instructional minutes dedicated to math and language arts. This resulted in an increase in the number of students approaching and or meeting standards in the Math and ELA CAASPP. Our English Language Learners also increased by 21.2 points compared to the previous year.

  • Developed the site LCAP, gathered stakeholder input, and completed the annual update and goals, actions and services

  • Coordinated with counselors to lead 504’s and review course selections

  • Developed a Tier 1 tutoring club in conjunction with NEST, the district after school program

  • Worked closely with the homeless and foster youth coordinator to provide supports and services to students and families

  • Served as the Community Schools pilot site for the district

  • Developed a Tier 1 Positive Behavior Intervention and Support system at R.O. Hardin that was presented to students, classified, and certificated staff via an interactive training
  • Aligned safety drills and procedures and restructured the evacuation plan with input from ICS4 Schools, the district safety consultant
  • Addressed student behaviors in a restorative justice format and followed up with all parties and parents
  • Created an incremental discipline rubric for the site in addition to updating the referral process with the goal of developing a more positive school climate
  • Collaborated with district facilities to create updated site safety plans for both elementary sites
  • Attended, led and participated in parent group meetings such as the English Language Advisory Council, the District English Language Advisory Council, and parent teacher clubs
  • Assisted in the coordination and supervision of student performances, presentations, assemblies and activities
